About Dr. Brandon Gish

Brandon Gish, MD, is a board-certified pain management specialist serving the community of Lexington, Kentucky, at Commonwealth Pain & Spine. He has been helping patients overcome and manage chronic pain for nearly seven years and continues to search for minimally invasive pain-relief treatments.

Dr. Gish earned his medical doctorate from the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine, in Lexington in 2012. Shortly after graduation, he began an anesthesiology residency program at his alma mater. Dr. Gish’s time in medical school and residency sparked his interest in pain management and pain medicine. Once his residency ended, he completed a pain medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Gish utilizes a multimodal approach to pain management to promote an active lifestyle, reduce opioid use, and minimize the need for invasive surgery to manage and alleviate pain. His goal is to restore function, mobility, and overall wellness in his patients. Dr. Gish utilizes a number of pain-relief treatments to improve his patients’ quality of life, including neurostimulation (spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion stimulation), Botox® for migraines, occipital nerve blocks, regenerative medicine, and more.

When Dr. Gish is not working with patients in Commonwealth Pain & Spine’s Lexington office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and twin children.
