About Dr. Pellant

Rick Pellant, DO, FAAPMR, DABPMR, is an experienced anesthesiologist and pain management physician practicing at the Commonwealth Pain & Spine located in London, Kentucky. Dr. Pellant brings over 30 years of medical experience to his patients at Commonwealth Pain & Spine. 

Before his career in private practice, Dr. Pellant served in the United States Army and Army National Guard for several years. In 1993 he earned his pre-med degree in biology from Alderson-Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia. Then, in 1999, Dr. Pellant earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. 

Dr. Pellant completed his subsequent internship at St. Francis Medical Center, and then a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In 2004, Dr. Pellant completed a residency in interventional pain medicine through Temple University at the  Western Pennsylvania Hospital. 

Since starting his career in medicine, Dr. Pellant has held various positions in private practice settings, medical centers, and rehabilitation centers in Kentucky and Germany.

Dr. Pellant is currently a member of several professional organizations, which helps him stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the fields of pain management and anesthesiology. He's currently a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Pellant is also board certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation, and pain management by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

When Dr. Pellant isn't in the office helping patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
