We’ve also introduced a new brand (AllyMed) to enhance our support of patients suffering from acute pain related to motor vehicle accidents and personal injuries. In addition, we’re making strides in clinical research to help more people find relief from pain with our approach to providing uncommon care tailored to the needs of our patients.
Everything we do is rooted in our mission, which is to build a brighter future for those suffering from chronic pain by quickly responding with compassionate, personalized, and comprehensive treatment plans that relieve pain and offer hope. We believe in treating the whole person, not just the pain, and are led by our guiding principles and values: personalization, responsiveness, ownership, understanding, and dignity.
From renowned physicians to front office assistants, nurses, physical therapists, liaisons and outreach efforts, leadership, and our administrative staff, the Commonwealth team is driven by one simple question every day: How can we improve the lives of our patients?
That shared sense of purpose around uncommon care has fueled our growth. What began in 2012 as a small group of dedicated physicians serving the Louisville, KY and Evansville, IN communities has grown into a network of 30+ clinics, 600+ employees, 25 physicians, and hundreds of thousands of patients across multiple states.
With the milestones reached, we hope it’s clear that each step forward is taken with a shared purpose and unwavering dedication. Whether delivering direct patient care or supporting operations behind the scenes, our team remains focused on a single vision - helping people live with less pain through comprehensive patient-centered care.
"There’s no doubt this is an exciting time for Commonwealth Pain & Spine," says Jeff Ellison, Commonwealth's CEO. "Every step of this growth is about making high-quality, patient-focused pain care more accessible. We’re energized by our progress and deeply committed to our mission.”
Commonwealth Invests to Provide Access for Relief in Tennessee and Cincinnati
We've taken major steps forward in expanding into new markets, such as Tennessee, with three full-service clinics. On May 9th, we officially opened the doors of our first clinic in Morristown, located just outside Knoxville. We now have a presence to make a difference in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Shortly after, we celebrated the opening of our Goodlettsville clinic. The purpose and goals for investing in these locations are focused on providing accessibility to high-quality pain care available to people across Middle Tennessee, including the Nashville area.
Now, our team is preparing for the opening of our Sevierville clinic, which will allow us to serve even more patients across East Tennessee.
“Our clinics are designed with the patient journey in mind,” said Dr. Kyle Young, Commonwealth Pain & Spine’s medical director. “Our objective is to provide comprehensive care that has a meaningful and lasting impact on patients’ lives.”
Commonwealth’s newest location in Cincinnati, now open on the West Side off Anderson Ferry Road in Delhi Township, complements our first Cincinnati clinic on the East Side in Anderson Township, which opened last fall, as well as our Northern Kentucky location in Crestview Hills location.
With three locations across Greater Cincinnati, we’re able to provide easier access to care for patients in the East, West, and Northern Kentucky areas.
Research That Makes a Real-World Difference
Commonwealth Pain & Spine's research arm is gaining momentum, and it's making a meaningful difference in how we approach chronic pain management.
Our research teams, led by Director of Clinical Research Avery Davenport, are working hard to bring next-generation therapies out of the lab and into patients' hands. From neurostimulation to non-opioid treatments and integrative care models, we're turning ideas into options for real relief.
Our goal is to help 100,000 patients access advanced pain treatments through clinical trials and research partnerships by 2027. This ambitious vision is absolutely within reach.
Empowering Patients Through the Mobile App for Complete Care Journey
Our mobile app is transforming the way we engage with patients, offering an easy way for them to track pain scores, stay informed, and remain connected to their care teams. With thousands of activations and growing adoption in markets like Bowling Green, Evansville East, and Elizabethtown, patients are embracing this tool as part of their care journey.
In April alone, Columbia, Spartanburg, and Greenville, SC led the way in new activations, showing just how powerful this platform can be in supporting proactive, personalized care. As we continue to expand access and innovation, tools like the mobile app are helping us deliver relief that’s truly within reach.
