NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Commonwealth Pain & Spine is proud to announce the opening of the Advanced Surgical Institute of New Albany (ASI), a new state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical center located at 4200 Technology Avenue, New Albany, IN, 47150.
A sister company to Commonwealth Pain & Spine, ASI specializes in same-day outpatient procedures and delivers advanced surgical care through a streamlined model designed for patient comfort, efficiency, and safety. The center combines cutting-edge technology with an environment intentionally built to reduce stress, shorten wait times, and offer patients a predictable, positive surgical experience.
The 15,000-square-foot facility, featuring four operating rooms and two procedure suites, is led by Elaina Turner, MSN, RN, CNOR, T-CSCT, CHCM, who will oversee daily operations. The center’s design emphasizes efficiency and flow, allowing physicians to perform minimally invasive procedures without the delays or higher costs often associated with traditional hospital settings.
“Between our cutting-edge technology and unrivaled outpatient surgical suites, we’re able to offer safe, efficient, and cost-effective interventions,” said Turner. “Patients can expect a seamless experience focused on quality, comfort, and timely recovery.”
Vice President of Ambulatory Surgical Centers for Commonwealth Pain & Spine, Janet Carlson, BSN, MSN, RN, NE-BC, FACHE, said the project reflects both its community impact and the strong collaboration behind it.
“It has been a privilege to work alongside our partners on this milestone ASC,” Carlson said. “What we’ve built is a best-in-class facility designed to serve the community for years to come. The teamwork across design, construction, and development truly brought this vision to life at Purdue Research Park. This achievement was only possible because of the dedication and expertise of every partner involved.”
