Gary Reasor, MD

Gary Reasor, MD, is a highly experienced pain management physician and founder of Metro Pain Associates, now a partner of Commonwealth Pain & Spine. A native of St. Matthews, Dr. Reasor earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville, where he also completed his internship and anesthesiology residency. It was during this time that he developed an interest in the treatment of chronic pain.

He went on to become board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine and launched the pain treatment program at Fort Hamilton-Hughes Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. In 2004, Dr. Reasor returned to Louisville and established Metro Pain Associates, where he continues to care for patients with a focus on his areas of expertise, including minimally invasive spine surgery and spinal cord stimulation.

Dr. Reasor is known not only for his clinical expertise, but also for his compassionate approach to care. He takes time to listen to each patient’s unique story and works to create individualized treatment plans that reflect both medical excellence and a deep respect for the patient experience.
