Ismael Candelario Fernandez’s path in healthcare began at Bellarmine University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with a focus on sports performance. He went on to complete his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of the Cumberlands.

As a board-certified physician assistant, Ismael brings extensive clinical training across a wide range of medical settings, including primary care, emergency medicine, surgery, psychiatry, cardiology, and orthopedics. His background also includes hands-on experience in neuromuscular rehabilitation, spine-focused care, and chronic pain management. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is able to connect effectively with a diverse patient population.
