About Jennifer

Jennifer Kennedy, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a family nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing experience across a range of clinical settings. Known for her commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence, Jennifer brings a deep understanding of both acute and primary care to her practice.

Jennifer began her nursing career after completing the Licensed Practical Nurse and Associate Degree Nurse programs at Shawnee Community College. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has served in a variety of critical roles, including ER nurse, telemetry monitoring nurse, hospice case manager, and relief charge nurse. She has extensive experience in emergency medicine, hospital transfers, and triage, and has served as a preceptor and mentor to new nurses in multiple healthcare environments.

As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Jennifer is trained to care for patients across the lifespan, from newborns to older adults. In her current role at Massac Medical Clinic, she provides comprehensive family medicine services including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

Jennifer is known for her collaborative approach, clinical leadership, and ability to deliver high-quality care in both fast-paced and community-based environments. She has served on internal committees such as Unit Council and Scheduling Committee, demonstrating her dedication to improving patient care systems.

Her licensure spans both Illinois and Kentucky, and she maintains active certification in family practice care. Jennifer remains focused on empowering patients through education, trust, and evidence-based practice.
